As a part of their #HometownHideouts series, the Edible Collective went out to discover another hidden gem right in Brooklyn: Van Brunt Stillhouse. Van Brunt makes fabulous whiskey, rum, grappa and moonshine from their alembic still in Red Hook.
The Edible Collective brings our members inspiring and educational events throughout the year. On May 9 for the first event in our #HometownHideouts series, members received plenty of history and tasted some whiskey produced right in their own backyard! We headed to the Kings County Distillery for a complimentary afternoon of small group distillery tours, spirit-focused conversation and, of course, great drink and food.
In late 2016, Edible partnered with Woodford Reserve to host a series of tasting events with New York’s top-shelf bartenders and beverage directors, culminating with a bartender symposium at the Culinary Institute of America.
Over the course of two months, Edible and Woodford Reserve hosted three tasting events, got tips on bringing the bar into the kitchen and more.
